Verdugo Dispatch

    Verdugo Dispatch is a state of the art dispatch center located at Glendale FD's Station 21. "Verdugo" provides enhanced 911 call taking, and radio dispatching services to the following fire departments: Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, South Pasadena, San Marino, San Gabriel, Monrovia, Arcadia, and Sierra Madre. Verdugo dispatchers and call takers are uniform civilian employees of the Glendale Fire Department.

 Dispatches
All Verdugo dispatches are done via voice on Red 1 (UHF) and simulcast on Green 7 (VHF) for Sierra Madre FD. Dispatches are also sent to the stations and responding apparatus through the MDT/CAD alerting system.

  UHF "RED" Radio System
All radio dispatch and fire ground communications for Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, San Gabriel, South Pasadena, San Marino, Arcadia, and Monrovia fire departments are conducted oh the "RED" UHF system.

Although, Red 3 is repeated, many incidents in Pasadena are conducted in “Direct” simplex mode due to terrain in the city.  

  VHF "GREEN" Radio System
All Red 1 dispatches and traffic are simulcast on VHF Green 7. The "Green" VHF system is primary radio system by Sierra Madre Fire Department. However, both Arcadia and Monrovia use Green system on many incidents.
